Last year these days, I asked JJ Dogma for permission to use their concept art "A Child of Prophecy" for a character project. Thankfully, they responded positively. Since I was busy freelancing and practicing, I only recently had a chance to put my skills into turning their amazing drawing into a photorealistic character. As I worked on the character, I also coded my own Python scripts for Maya and Marmoset Toolbag to accelerate the project.
-Sculpted in ZBrush
-Modeled, retopologized, and laid out UVs in Maya
-Drafted clothes Marvelous Designer
-Groomed the hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, peach fuzz, and cloth fibers using XGen
-Detailed and textured the face via ZWrap and TexturingXYZ
-Textured and created PBR Materials in Substance 3D Painter
-Simulated and rendered smoke in Blender
-Rendered and baked textures in Marmoset Toolbag 5
-Designed the background level using Quixel Megascans
-Created alphas, edited, composed, and color-graded the final shots in Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve
